Muse rock the biomesBBC Cornwall sent reviewer Karen Stuart along to join the packed crowd at the Eden Project, as South West band Muse rocked the night away at Eden. Enjoy our photo gallery from the big night. | |||||
The Eden Project was still buzzing after the successful Magic Numbers session just days ago. But now the crowd were ready to rock out with Muse. We were there to capture the concert for our photo gallery. Click on the link to see the pictures: The packed Eden Project was warmed up by support bands 'Hey Molly' and 'Nixon' and 'The Burn' before the slightly late Muse began their set just after 9pm.
The impatient crowd were not put off though, once Muse hit the stage with their fantastic live presence, the Eden crowd were quickly hooked. The capacity crowd surged forward and screamed even louder than the band as Muse launched into the hits from their new album 'Blackholes and Revelations'. Muse continued to alternate throughout the night with songs from both their last album 'Absolution' to their aforementioned newly released project. The setting was perfect for the outstanding rock performers and there was a warm reception for the South West band. Lead singer Matt Bellamy's distinctive vocals could probably be heard for miles around not to mention the ban'ds blistering heavy rock guitar.
Recent hit 'Supermassiveblackhole' was definitely a huge highlight but Muse also proved their versatile style with their very own alternative version of the blues classic 'Feeling Good'. The three-piece band of Matthew Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard are certainly talented musicians, varying their alternative rock style with smooth piano melodies, toning down brief stages of the night. Possibly the biggest moment of the night was when the crowd sang out verses to what was arguably Muses biggest hit to date 'Time is Running Out'. The hardcore muse fans rocked the night away and the Eden crowd were certainly treated to a huge session shaking the Eden biomes. |
